Yongsan I’Park Mall, Korea’s Largest Mixed-Use Shopping Complex, Introduces “NaOClean” Hygiene Management System Across 60 F&B Stores

Yongsan I’Park Mall, widely recognized as Korea’s largest mixed-use shopping complex, is strengthening hygiene management standards across its food and beverage (F&B) outlets. Approximately 60 F&B stores within the mall have installed and are operating the NaOClean compact electrolyzed water generator (DES-P350), which is being effectively utilized for food ingredient sanitization and overall in-store hygiene management.
As a landmark destination that integrates shopping, dining, culture, and entertainment, Yongsan I’Park Mall attracts a large number of visitors throughout the year. Given its role as a high-traffic public facility, tenant stores carry an increased responsibility for food safety and hygiene. In this context, the introduction of the NaOClean system is viewed as a proactive measure to enhance sanitation standards with consumer health in mind.
The NaOClean DES-P350 is a compact device that generates electrolyzed, neutral sanitizing water on-site, enabling immediate use within stores. It is applied across a wide range of operations, including food ingredient washing, kitchen and cooking areas, utensils, work surfaces, tables, and other high-contact areas frequently used by both customers and staff. Through this system, F&B outlets are able to systematize daily hygiene practices and maintain a more stable and reliable food service environment.
Representative brands utilizing the system include well-known franchise names such as Lotteria, BBQ, Mad for Garlic, Samsong Bakery, Bonjuk (Bon Porridge), and Nolbu Budae Jjigae. These brands are applying NaOClean sanitizing water throughout the entire food preparation and service process, reinforcing efforts to provide customers with a hygienic and reassuring dining experience.
A NaOClean representative stated, “As tenants of Yongsan I’Park Mall, F&B operators face particularly high consumer expectations regarding hygiene management. By adopting the NaOClean system, stores can strengthen both ingredient handling and in-store sanitation, which is likely to be recognized as a genuine effort to prioritize consumer health and, in turn, positively enhance brand trust and overall store image.”
The representative further noted that hygiene management itself has become a key competitive factor for F&B businesses, adding that the deployment of NaOClean systems across I’Park Mall’s F&B outlets is expected to play a meaningful role in conveying a ‘safe and trustworthy store’ image to customers.
“In a high-footfall environment such as Korea’s largest mixed-use shopping complex, the simultaneous adoption of NaOClean systems by numerous F&B stores is particularly significant,” the representative added. “We will continue to expand our efforts to support hygiene-focused management environments that prioritize consumer health, especially in large shopping malls and other public-use facilities.”
Meanwhile, NaOClean has supplied hygiene management solutions to a wide range of facilities, including school cafeterias, government institutions, military units, hotels, general hospitals, and nursing homes. Building on the Yongsan I’Park Mall case, the company plans to further expand its presence across large-scale shopping complexes and F&B venues nationwide.
